Baseball Recap: Mingus Takes a Loss

Mingus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Flagstaff Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Mingus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Wacker, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Mingus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Flagstaff, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

While Mingus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
