Football Recap: Fulton Falcons vs. Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders

Fulton had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They were beaten by the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders 50-18. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Fulton still got an impressive performance from Rejuan Womble, who rushed for 94 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 124 yards on six of 12 attempts.

As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average this season.

Gatlinburg-Pittman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Maples out in front who rushed for 136 yards and three scores on only ten carries. With that strong performance, Maples is now averaging an impressive 108 rushing yards per game. Jackson Savarese also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton will host Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they will welcome Pigeon Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
