Baseball Game Preview: Graham-Kapowsin Eagles vs. Curtis Vikings

Graham-Kapowsin is 2-8 against Curtis since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Graham-Kapowsin 2.8, Curtis 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Curtis will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Graham-Kapowsin extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Eagles blew past Spanaway Lake 14-3. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th.

Meanwhile, Curtis fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Emerald Ridge on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 4-3. The Vikings have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Bradley Dinelt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Curtis saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harlan Carrillo, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Curtis' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
