Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but United South ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Zapata, sneaking past 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.
Juan P Briseno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Briseno was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Veterans Memorial's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for United South, their record is now 7-3.
