Basketball Game Preview: Leesville Road Pride vs. Broughton Capitals

Leesville Road and Broughton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Leesville Road Pride will be playing at home against the Broughton Capitals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Leesville Road knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Broughton likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Leesville Road blew past Enloe, posting a 71-44 victory. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Eagles are ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Broughton ended up a good deal behind Athens Drive on Tuesday and lost 58-40. The Capitals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Broughton's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Leesville Road, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
