Pine Island extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Pierz. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Pine Island saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Lowrie, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Pine Island pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Pierz, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Pine Island nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
