Soccer Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Schuylkill Valley

Schuylkill Valley hadn't done well against Brandywine Heights Area recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers won by a goal and slipped past the Bullets 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Schuylkill Valley's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Brandywine Heights Area are ranked 362nd).

Schuylkill Valley's one-goal win came courtesy of Zach Reeser, who's now up to three this season.

As for Brandywine Heights Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Valley will head out to face off against Berks Catholic at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they will venture away from home to square off against Tulpehocken at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
