            Baseball Recap: Lake George Lakers vs. Warrensburg Burgers        
        
		
        
        
            Lake George dropped their record down to 5-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against  the Warrensburg Burgers, falling  19-4. If the Lakers were looking for revenge after losing  4-1 to the Burgers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Warrensburg, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
For Warrensburg's part, they got a great performance from  Kawliga Duell as he  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Duell has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Caleb Remington was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  stolen bases. Those  six  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paul Moore, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with five  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Lake George is taking a road trip to  take on North Warren Central  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.9  runs per game this season. As for Warrensburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hadley Luzerne  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
