Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ready Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Bishop Ready entered their tilt with Columbus School for Girls on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Unicorns 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Bishop Ready walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 25-21.

Bishop Ready had a senior duo take command as Allyson Creighton had 22 assists and four aces and Sophia Dozer had 14 digs and three assists. Creighton is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Tatum Reeder also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bishop Ready was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matches.

Columbus School for Girls' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isabella Mcintyre, who had four aces and one block, and Kiersten Cahill, who had six assists and four digs.

Bishop Ready's record now sits at 12-1. As for Columbus School for Girls, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
