Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. Twinsburg Tigers

The Hudson Explorers are taking a road trip to take on the Twinsburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hudson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Hudson will head into Saturday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 47) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Stow-Munroe Falls, sneaking past 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Explorers have posted since November 27, 2023.

While Twinsburg didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They rang in the new year with a 54-45 win over Roosevelt on Monday.

Twinsburg's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Hudson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Hudson and Twinsburg were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but Hudson came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss. Can Hudson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
