Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Carteret). They claimed a resounding 64-29 win over the South Lenoir Blue Devils. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Patriots had established a 30 point advantage.

Despite the loss, South Lenoir had strong showings from Tyazhia Midgett, who posted no points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists, and Makenzie Herring, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 15 points. The dominant performance gave Herring a new career-high in points.

The victory was the third in a row for West Carteret, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for South Lenoir, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

West Carteret won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Neuse Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Carteret has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for South Lenoir, they and Lejeune will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. South Lenoir is facing Lejeune at the right time seeing as Lejeune is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
