Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hubbard

Hubbard put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 37-14 margin over the University School Preppers. The Eagles pushed the score to 30-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Preppers cut but never quite recovered from.

Braydon Songer was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Another player making a difference was Dylan Bucher, who picked up 84 receiving yards and one score.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Anthony Clark, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Hubbard's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for University School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Hubbard will face off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for University School, they will take on Shaw at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
