Baseball Recap: South Pittsburg Pirates vs. Chattanooga Central Pounders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Signal Mountain, South Pittsburg was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Chattanooga Central Pounders get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Jace Stone was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Kaden Baker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
