Baseball Recap: Ipswich Takes a Loss

Ipswich made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lynnfield, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Pioneers since May 19, 2015.

Ipswich dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lynnfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Ipswich will venture away from home to face off against Amesbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lynnfield, they will welcome Triton Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
