Soccer Recap: Amundsen Comes Up Short

Amundsen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Whitney Young Dolphins. If Amundsen were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Whitney Young when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amundsen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Whitney Young, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8-2 record.

Looking ahead, Amundsen will challenge Taft at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Amundsen's defense better be ready for this one: Taft have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Whitney Young, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Curie on the 19th.
