Baseball Recap: Atlantic Comes Up Short

Atlantic blew Varsity Opponent out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Varsity Opponent got their revenge. The Atlantic Sharks fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 5-3. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 12-1.

Atlantic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Cronin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Atlantic will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mount Dora at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
