Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chester County Eagles. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Russell Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ross McDaniel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Chester County, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-5.

While Lexington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
