Basketball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Catalina Foothills back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mountain View Mountain Lions were beaten by the Catalina Foothills Falcons 73-41. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Romero, who went 8 for 14 en route to 19 points. Romero has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Joaquin Meek was another key player, putting up nine points.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Catalina Foothills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View has already played their next game (against Maricopa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Catalina Foothills will take on Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Catalina Foothills is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
