Soccer Game Preview: South Fork vs. Okeechobee

The South Fork Bulldogs will face off against the Okeechobee Brahmans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Fork is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

South Fork's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. Everything went their way against Somerset College Prep Academy as South Fork made off with a 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Diego Guerrero, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Okeechobee walked away with it. They won by a goal and slipped past the Jaguars 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Brahmans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Okeechobee's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9-1. As for South Fork, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season.

South Fork took their win against Okeechobee when the teams last played back in December of 2020 by a conclusive 7-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Fork since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
