Softball Recap: Pinconning Spartans vs. Meridian Mustangs
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pinconning ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Meridian Mustangs. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.
Layla Foco spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Pinconning saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Hunter, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.
