Hatley was the 4-0 winner over Hamilton when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hatley Tigers fell 4-1 to the Hamilton Lions on Thursday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hatley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlynn Dabbs, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Hatley's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Hatley will square off against Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hamilton Lions face off against Amory Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Amory will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight.
