Football Game Preview: Touchet vs. Sunnyside Christian

If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sunnyside Christian. On Friday they will take on Touchet at 3:00 PM. Sunnyside Christian are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Touchet are stumbling in off of seven consecutive losses.

Sunnyside Christian took the game and then some with a 64-28 victory over Garfield-Palouse last Friday. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Sunnyside Christian, who can brag about five blowout wins.

Meanwhile, the last time they encountered one another, Pomeroy outplayed Touchet 0-2. This time around? Get ready for this: Touchet ended up forfeiting their match against Pomeroy 0-2. If you felt some intense deja vu just there, it's no doubt because Touchet and Pomeroy finished with that exact same score the last time they met.

Sunnyside Christian's win lifted them to 6-1 while Touchet's loss dropped them down to 0-7. We'll see if Touchet are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting contest than their last) when the teams meet up.
