Volleyball Recap: Southern Coffey County Comes Up Short

Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Vikings. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Southern Coffey County's offense was headlined by Brooke Marlow and Madalynn Garretson, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Cheyenne Dykee and her seven assists. Marlow and Garretson were also some pesky defenders, as each blocked two attacks.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Northeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8-4.

Southern Coffey County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Oswego on the 7th. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against Galena on Monday.
