Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Luis). They were the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over the San Pasqual Valley Warriors on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sidewinders as it put an end to their 18-game losing streak dating back to last season.

San Pasqual Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isaiah Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 boards. Martinez has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 23 times he's played. Jayden Sisomphou was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 16 points.

San Luis' victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-14. As for San Pasqual Valley, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

San Luis has already played their next contest, a 75-45 loss against Kofa on the 28th. As for San Pasqual Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-37 defeat against Bagdad on the 24th.
