Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Portola Bulldogs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Trojans haven't been shut out since back in February.

While University had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

University's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Portola, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. University will take on rival St. Margaret's at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Portola is set to challenge their familiar foe Laguna Beach at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
