Softball Recap: Northport Mustangs vs. Republic Tigers        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Northport gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Republic Tigers  a   15-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northport also won the last time the pair played  back in March.
  Olivia Stark was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Kylie Colton was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of her six plate appearances.
 Northport has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season. As for Republic, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record  this season.
 Northport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  28-16  win vs. Mary Walker on the 4th. Republic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
