Volleyball Recap: Gila Ridge Takes a Loss

Gila Ridge lost against Shadow Ridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks came up short against the Stallions, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since September 15th.

Gila Ridge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Shadow Ridge work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 28-26.

Leading Shadow Ridge to victory were Lilia Ford and Rigley Garrison. Ford had ten digs and three assists, while Garrison had 13 assists and four digs. That's the most assists Ford has posted since back in September.

Gila Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Shadow Ridge, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5-5.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Gila Ridge and Kofa will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Shadow Ridge, they will take on Corona del Sol at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
