Football Recap: Safford Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Safford's offense. They had to suffer through a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Sabino Sabercats. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Sabino was led to victory by Zachari Haley and Bodhi Sanford. Haley gained 283 total yards, while Sanford threw for 283 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes. What's more, Sanford racked up 12 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August.

Safford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Sabino, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Safford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sabino, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 47-18 loss against Valley Christian on the 7th.
