Softball Recap: Watertown Purple Tigers vs. Smith County Owls

Watertown put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Smith County Owls as the Watertown Purple Tigers made off with a 15-2 win. Watertown is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.

Kayla McGuire looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

At the plate, Rachel Cromer was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Wood, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Watertown pushed their record up to 17-5 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Smith County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-11.

As of now, neither Watertown nor Smith County have any future games scheduled.
