Baseball Recap: Mason Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Mason barely beat Dansville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Aggies with a sharp 10-2 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Alex Engel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Maddox Armour was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton McCaleb, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Mason pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Dansville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason will host Fowlerville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dansville, they will face off against Perry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
