Basketball Recap: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. South Aiken Baptist Christian CRUSADERS
The Curtis Baptist Crusaders can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past South Aiken Baptist Christian 40-9 at home. Winning may never get old, but Curtis Baptist sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Leading Curtis Baptist to victory were Abby Coughlin and Maci Butler. Coughlin scored 11 points along with six steals, while Butler dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Butler hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Addison Hunt was another key contributor, scoring two points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Curtis Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for South Aiken Baptist Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Sundevils at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
