 If Eastern View was feeling good  off their  11-1 takedown of James Monroe two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eastern View Cyclones took  a  6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spotsylvania Knights on Tuesday. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastern View in their matchups with Spotsylvania: they've now lost five in a row.
  Tyler Bolton was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Hunnicutt, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Spotsylvania's side,  Nate Johnson and  Josh Perez made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Johnson   pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (he also only allowed one  walk). Meanwhile,  Perez   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). At the plate,  Johnson  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Perez  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.

 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ben Accors, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Eastern View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Spotsylvania, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
 Eastern View will be playing at home against Culpeper County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Spotsylvania, they will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against King George at 6:00  p.m. Spotsylvania's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3  runs per game  this season, so King George's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
