Recap: Cannelton Bulldogs vs. Medora Hornets

The Cannelton Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Medora on the road and fell 71-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cannelton has scored all season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cannelton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Medora pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

It was another big night for Damian Salas, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Medora. Jaxon Nugen was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.

Cannelton's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Medora, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Cannelton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Seven Oaks Classical at 9:45 a.m. on January 13th. Seven Oaks Classical is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Medora won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Columbus Christian at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th. Columbus Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.9 points per game.
