Dallastown is a perfect 10-0 against New Oxford since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will challenge the Colonials at 4:15 p.m. Dallastown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so New Oxford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Dallastown fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Lower Dauphin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Matt Stone was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Dallastown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Kessler, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, New Oxford suffered their biggest defeat since March 25, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 8-1 to Kutztown. The Colonials have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Dallastown's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for New Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dallastown has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like New Oxford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Dallastown skirted past New Oxford 3-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
