Game recap: Brennan High School Football Team takes down Boerne-Champion

BOERNE, Texas - The defense contributed on the scoring end for Brennan (San Antonio, Texas) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Bears defeated Boerne-Champion (Boerne, Texas) 42-24.

The Bears were up 21-12 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.

Brennan expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.

With the win the San Antonio school extended its winning streak to 11 games. The Bears defeated the Mustangs 14-0 last week.

The Chargers' Sean Villegas played well. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.



Brennan also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 21-17.

The defeat comes as a step back for Boerne-Champion, which notched a 49-33 victory over Seguin in its previous outing.
