Basketball Recap: Carolina International Comes Up Short

After soaring to 64 points the game before, Carolina International was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 74-28 loss at the hands of the Chambers Cougars.

Chambers' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zyon White, who posted 18 points. What's more, White also posted an 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Elijah Grier, who put up 11 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Carolina International's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Chambers, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Carolina International will head out on the road to square off against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chambers, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-57 victory against Olympic on the 9th.
