Basketball Game Preview: Eastbrook Panthers vs. Bluffton Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Eastbrook Panthers take on the Bluffton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eastbrook will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Blackford, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Eastbrook walked away with a 53-40 victory over Blackford on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastbrook to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Younce, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points along with seven boards and four steals. Younce continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Draven Collins, who posted 15 points.

Meanwhile, Bluffton waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Argylls by a score of 48-41.

Eastbrook's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Bluffton, their record is now 8-5.

Eastbrook came up short against Bluffton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 44-36. Can Eastbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
