Softball Recap: Smithsburg Comes Up Short

Smithsburg fell victim to Boonsboro and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Thursday.

Smithsburg has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Boonsboro, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Smithsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Brunswick at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Boonsboro will challenge rival Walkersville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
