Meanwhile, Norwich Free Academy faced East Lyme in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Norwich Free Academy's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-5. As for Waterford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
