Football Recap: King Takes Down Trenton in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

King extended their postseason success on Friday against Trenton. They strolled past the Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 38-22. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Crusaders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Trojans are ranked 175th).

When it comes to explaining why Trenton lost, don't look at Anthony Hawkins. Despite the final result, he threw for 228 yards and two TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. A healthy portion of Hawkins' aerial production (99 yards to be exact) went to Tyler Crook, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for King and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Trenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, King will take on De La Salle Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
