             After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Althoff Catholic is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Belleville East Lancers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Althoff Catholic's defense heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They blew past St. Teresa, posting  a  61-0 win on the road. Given the Crusaders' advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings  (they are ranked 39th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 360th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Dierre Hill Jr had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 136  rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Steven Brown, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Althoff Catholic was moving up and down the field and  finished the game with 464  total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Teresa only gained 141.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but Belleville East ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They came out on top against Pekin by a score of  28-21. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Lancers.
 Belleville East got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kingston Jones out in front who threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns.  James Johnson Jr was  Jones' top target, picking up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Althoff Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Belleville East, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
