Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fairfield lost against Oak Hills back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 3-2. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Fairfield took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 14-25, 25-19, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Peyton Smith. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and three aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Oak Hills, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fairfield will challenge Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Hills, after both having extra time off, they and Lebanon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
