Basketball Recap: Nodaway Valley Co-Op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt]'s Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 12

Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over the Rock Port Blue Jays. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-47 back in January.

Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points over those games. As for Rock Port, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 18-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] will face off against Pattonsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Port, they will take on Mound City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
