With a high-powered veer attack, the Spartans have always been a running team first and foremost. As a sophomore, Houston threw for 1,200 yards leading the Spartans to a CIF State Bowl game victory. This season, the 6-5, 195-pound junior has already thrown for 1,175 and could be the key if De La Salle earns a fifth straight bowl game invitation and faces the likes of nationally-ranked Mission Viejo, Westlake, Servite or Centennial.
