Basketball Recap: Hagerty Piles Up the Points Against Lyman

Hagerty had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 42-point drubbing they dealt Lyman on Wednesday. The Hagerty Huskies blew past the Lyman Greyhounds, posting a 79-37 victory. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.

Hagerty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Asa Kohn out in front who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Kohn's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ewan Winkler, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points.

Kohn wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Hagerty was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Loss or not, Lyman got some senior leadership from Damir Carter and Tommy Murray. Carter posted ten points, while Murray had four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Austin-Wallace, who put up seven points.

Hagerty's record is now 5-2. As for Lyman, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

Hagerty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-54 loss against Lake Nona on the 13th. As for Lyman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-29 defeat against Lake Brantley on the 13th.
