After losing to North Star the last time they met, Windber decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ramblers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 27-19 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ramblers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windber to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ike Serenko, who rushed for 106 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. Serenko's longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another passer making a difference was Ace Kolson, who threw for 192 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Windber was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Windber didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dylan Woodruff and Serenko.

North Star's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasey Yoder, who rushed for 122 yards and one touchdown.

Windber's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for North Star, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Windber and North Star will both be playing Everett the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Ramblers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
