Menomonie was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the New Richmond Tigers as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the game before.

James Hoff made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charlie Mikesell, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Owen Welch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Menomonie is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, New Richmond fell to 13-1.

Coming up, Menomonie will welcome D.C. Everest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Evergreens will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Richmond, they will head out to square off against Somerset at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
