Loyola is 8-2 against Chaminade since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Meanwhile, Chaminade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Harvard-Westlake 81-51. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.

Loyola's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 17-10. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

Loyola took their victory against Chaminade in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 68-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loyola since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
