Football Recap: South Beauregard Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If South Beauregard was feeling good fresh off their 48-14 takedown of Port Barre last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a blow against the Kinder Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 60-28. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why South Beauregard lost, don't look at Jacob Marcantel. Despite the final result, he rushed for 193 yards and two TDs. Marcantel showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.

South Beauregard has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.8 points over those games. As for Kinder, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

South Beauregard and Kinder will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights will take on rival Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kinder is set to challenge their familiar foe Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
