The Union Academy Cardinals will head out to take on the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Academy of Technology & Arts took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Union Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Union Academy got the win against Albemarle by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Union Academy took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-12.

Union Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marissa McMurray out in front who had 12 digs and two aces.

McMurray wasn't the only good servers: Union Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Central Academy of Technology & Arts challenged Anson on Thursday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Bearcats.

Union Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Union Academy took their win against Central Academy of Technology & Arts in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
